As i have mentioned previously that very few institutes offer a good training programme for DNB psychiatry. There is no preference list as each institute may have some disadvantage and neither institute is perfect in everything.
On popular demand I have rated most of the hospitals offering DNB Psychiatry from 0-10 in various aspects.
Score of 10 means the institute is best in that aspect and 0 is worst in comparison to the best in that particular aspect. These scores are based on my personal opinion and my personal research during my joining as a candidate. I have tried to give an unbiased opinion about all institutes including where iam studying. The institutes are not in their preference orders. Please go through the list and decide for yourself.
Eg a score of 10 in stipend field indicates the institute has the best stipend amongst all institutes, and rest have less score in comarison to the best.
Local language difficulty is applicable to candidates from other regions, and a score more than 5 indicates that you will face more difficulty in learning the local language. I have personally lived in Kannada and Telugu speaking regions, so telugu speaking regions have been giving a score of (-4) and kannada speaking regions have been given (-6) as kannada is more difficult than telugu( telugu being more close to Sanskrit), Marathi speaking regions have been given (-2) as it is closer to Hindi.
Overall scores have been adjusted with language difficulty. Refer to these scores if you don’t know the local language. Overall scores reflect the quality of work at these places, the higher the score , the better the quality.
If you know the regional languages then refer to scores without language difficulty.
Institute Having rTMS (latest technology in Psychiatry) given +5 points
Institutes where MD courses are running and No additional 1yr SRship is required have been given +5 points
If your living in a locality neighbouring one of these institutes you can add 10-20 points based on your comfort with the place to that institute only and then compare with rest.

Sowmanasya, Aathma are not included as its known to me that they have closed intake for DNB Psychiatry. Scarf also may be this is the last year according to some sources. There is no Information available for SKIMS in J&K.
