For doing Radiodiagnosis its Patient load Vs Machine availability , Most of the Private institutions located in metros will have all the machines except few but patient load may not be very good due to high prices, on the other hand govt hospitals may have a very good patient load but an MRI or PET scan may not be available restricting your skill development. So choose your hospital carefully and do confirm all this info by calling one of the residents or the concerned hospital before coming to a decision.
DELHI :
1.St stephens – very good hospital, moreover a charity hosp, good exposure, no master health checkups,stipend around 4ok.
2.Gangaram – one of the best institutes for doing DNB,stipend around 50k.
3.Rajiv gandhi cancer institute – They have a lot of patientss and oncology work, stipend is around 60k.They do all the PET / intervention work there.Patient load is good,machines 64 / 1.5, GOOD ACADEMICS. In a way u can be half super specialist.
4.Apollo – Slighltly better than other private hospitals of delhi
5.Safdarjung – very big hospital,huge case load,all modalties there,you work with 8 MD nd 2 dnb fellows,stipend aronnd 58k.
6.Max/Batra – average patient load, all modalities present, stipend around 50k.
Hyderabad :
1.NIMS – institute is good for all modalities,Xrays 150 per day,CT 50/day,MRI 25 – 30/day,USG over all 150,daily USG guided procedures 10,CT guided 5,DSA 10 cases per week,teachers are good,positivity is high,plenty number of sessions and good seminars,good stipend around 40k,but lacks obg,pediatrics,opthal,ent,gen surgery depts.For obg and peds your
