It’s a Central government hospital so yes we are allowed to touch and manage the patient. I have done subclavian cannulation as CVP monitoring and lifesaving done by 1st year. ICD insertion as a life saving measure in pneumothorax. Bedside pleural tapping hemostatic procedure all done by residents. You can also do USG guided liver abscess and all if you have a good tuning with radio residents as well.

Academics are average. Weekly case presentation in seminar room, rounds teaching is there but not significant. In the end you have to study as self-study is also important.

As high as 80%. Since it is a government hospital with a good reputation and 27 years of DNB ,examiners are familiar with the quality work done here and hence the good passing rate unless you do a blunders.
