What to expect from Second round of DNB CET Councelling 2017?

Edited by Dr Varsha Ukrani

One day to go for the Second round of DNB CET Councelling and we are as excited as you are. NEET-PG has done wonders this time as cutoffs for branches like Radiodiagnosis and Dermatology have increased almost four times in first round whereas for other branches there seems to be no cutoff as many seats were still left vacant after counselling upto 6000 ranks. With only 1025 candidates eligible for second round upto 6000 ranks, second round is bound to be a treat for those who are eligible for the same as many of the earlier ranks have already got what they wanted through All India or State Counsellings.

Some of the key things that one notices is that despite Bharat scans Radio Diagnosis being the last to go 3 out of 4 seats have fallen vacant which means the Radiodiagnosis cutoff is likely to increase further. However for Dermatology aspirants there is some bad news as only 2 seats have returned for this round and the cutoff may not increase any further.

For other branches the cutoffs seem limitless at the moment as 1285 total seats have turned up for second round which is the largest number of seats that we have seen in our 4 years of experience.

To sum it up :

This is real good news for those who opted out within the first 6000 ranks as each one of you may get Radiodiagnosis in second round something that was only a dream for top rankers.

For the 6000-10000 ranks clinicals are almost guaranteed but you guys have to choose between Diplomas in All india/State Vs DNB so make a wise decision.

For 10000-13000 ranks, fair chance at clinicals if not now, then maybe in the next round.
