Sahyadri specialty hospital is a 202 bedded hospital located at Karve road , Pune. The hospital has a 40 bedded ICU setup.

Radio diagnosis: 1 seat primary, 1 seat secondary
Surgery: 1 primary seat
Medicine: 1 primary seat
Anaesthesia: 2 seats ; 1 primary 1 secondary
Neurosurgery 6 years(direct): 1 seat
Neurology: DNB super specialty seat
Radio and anaesthesia seats usually come in the July session of DNB. Others come in november session of DNB .
Talking of Anaesthesia in particular the department is good. There are 5 consultants in the department who are every experienced in this field. There are 3 major OTs and 1 minor OT. General surgery, orthopaedics and urology cases are posted in the major OTs. Residents are posted in the respective OTs by rotation. Also there is one cardiac OT in which you are posted for around 1 month. The overall exposure to cases is good except gynec cases. Work timings are 7am to 7 pm, every third day we have emergency duty.
My batch is the 5th batch to undergo PG training in anaesthesia here. Academics are not so good but the overall pass rate is good. Second batch of candidates in Anaesthesia passed both theory and practical. Third batch of candidates have passed their theory exam, practical exam is still pending.
About other departments I would say:
Radio diagnosis: good department, good exposure to CT,MRI. Academics too are good.
Medicine: good academics and exposure
Surgery: good academics and hands on exposure
Overall work exposure and pass rate is good in these departments.
