Most of You have already spoken to him about DNB courses, and for those who havent should know that Dr  Khanak Nandoliya completed his MBBS from the prestigious B.J Medical College,Ahemedabad and is currently pursuing  DNB Radiology from Dr Rajendra Prasad Govt Medical College,Kangra. Besides his keen interest in Radiology , he also has an aptitude for Wildlife photography & rehabilitation , for which he has worked in Nature conservation society and charitable trust of Bhavnagar and this speaks volumes about his generosity. He gives us a "Birds eye view" of the place he is working in and is willing to help those who want to pursue Radiology.

How many consultants are there in your department in the concerned specialty ? :5
What are the usual working hours??:

0800 to 1700. May extend upto 2300 during CT,MR postings. We get 100 USG patients everyday, and USG guided procedures are routinely done.

How many emergency duties per week and decribe work if possible.:2 - 3 per week. Duties are hectic with heavy work load most of the time. Emergency USGs and CTs are performed and reported.
Are you allowed to touch the patient ?? please describe the procedures you have done .:Residents are allowed to perform all the procedures, USG scans, CT/MR reporting.
How are the academics? any case presentations done? Please put a timetable if present.:Daily one hour morning class. Residents present the allotted topic which is followed by viva by the faculties. All the faculties are present during lectures.We also have monthly tests for Final years.
How is the pass rate?? have your seniors passed.:All the seniors have passed , a total of 5 batches have passed before me.
how satisfied are you with your choice? :Very satisfied
Any other departments at your institution good for DNB??:Surgery  & anesthesia seats were there and had pretty good exposure as its a govt med college, but there is no accredition for them so they may or may not come.
Stipend and accomodation details:25000 per month. In campus hostel with single occupancy rooms.
Any other info you would like to give.?:None in particular. The place is bit isolated and peaceful one. Not much of a metro life.
Why did you chose this hospital? Give atleast 3 reasons or decribe in detail:Since it is a government institute, patient load and hands on are better than private institutes.
