Trend Alert

Total Number of students who attended counselling upto 3800 rank is approximately only 300-350 + for this year .

Total number of students who had attended counselling upto 1800 rank is approximately 460-470+ for last year January session. so it is clear that there is huge decrease in attendance this year. Approximately a 50-60 % decrease in attendance as compared to last year.

Surprisingly Radio diagnosis is still available ! at 4300 rank!  almost a 3-4 times increase in cutoff as compared to around 1200 last year.

Our initial report that 30-40 students attended the first day of counselling is probably wrong as we feel the reduction in number of pages of seat matrix after first day was very large and may be due to some institutes not getting accredition in the final hour. We have some reason to believe that nobody attended the counselling on first day.

On 19th the exact attendance was 1 for morning session and 3 for afternoon session

On 20th attendance was 7 for morning session and 12 for after noon session

on 21st the total attendance was 22

On 22nd attendance was 25

Attendance had increased from 24th onwards , it was around 60 including morning and afternoon sessions.

On 25th it was around 90 and on 26th including both sessions it was around 80.

In 2016 Total number of students who attended councelling upto 1600 rank was approximately 350

In 2015 the attendance was approximately 180 upto 1200 ranks.

Due to a common exam for entire india, the top rankers in DNB have good ranks elsewhere too, so many people are skipping DNB counselling, which is good news for later ranks. Cutoffs should increase this year, if later ranks dont overcrowd the councelling at a later stage.

Projected Cutoffs

These Cutoffs are for first round only and may increase or decrease if trend changes. They represent the approximate  last rank for getting a seat in that branch i.e some bad institutes may be available slightly beyond this rank or around this rank. Cutoffs for all branches will be updated when the daily trend changes.
